For Color of Change’s three part series, I partnered with an illustrator and animator (Motion Mami) and developed scripts to highlight and educate people on the way underrepresented communities would be affected by reproductive rights & laws. The mini series was developed for and published to Instagram, YouTube and Liberatedbodies.org.
This ruling allows states to criminalize pregnancy outcomes like stillbirth and miscarriage and take away the healthcare resources needed to address these issues.

The concept of reproductive justice has deep roots in Black communities. It was originally developed by Black women as a framework to emphasize bodily autonomy, family decision-making, and broader social and economic conditions affecting reproductive rights.
[Part 2] Reproductive Justice: What Happens When Roe v Wade is Overturned?
This discussion examines how the end of Roe v. Wade disproportionately affects Black, Brown, and low-income communities. We’ll also look at how, in some cases, pregnancy outcomes can lead to criminal penalties or even prison sentences.
[Part 3] Reproductive Justice: What Does Reproductive Freedom Mean to You?
Women share their perspectives on reproductive choice, life in today’s society, and the ongoing debate over who has the authority to make decisions about women’s bodies.
